SAMANTHA BYAKE MUTEBI is a devoted wife and mother of one, a passionate advocate for refugees and immigrants, and a Susan G. Komen Ambassador for breast cancer awareness. She is a trained psychologist, a nursing student, and an accomplished actor who speaks seven languages. Samantha is deeply committed to motherhood, youth mentorship, and community empowerment. Her work bridges healing, storytelling, and advocacy, making her a strong voice for the marginalized. Whether mentoring, studying, performing, or advocating, Samantha brings empathy, resilience, and purpose. She continues to inspire others through her lived experience and unwavering dedication to meaningful change.

EMERY COHEN is a nonbinary actor from Cleveland. This is their first time participating in a full-length devised show. Their favorite roles include Emily in Our Town (French Creek Theatre), Mayella in To Kill a Mockingbird (Weathervane Playhouse), the titular character in The Little Prince (Ensemble Theatre), and Martha in The Children’s Hour (Stow Players). LEROY GUIGNOLE serves on the board of CATAC. He, along with Kent-based Hard Trash Theatre, has produced and directed several original productions including Tarot Cabaret, Road Kill, and The Museum of Unnatural History. Leroy holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from the University of Akron and a Masters in Media Management from Kent State University. He lives with his family in Kent.

JUSTIN HALE graduated with a Bachelors in Theatre Arts from the University of Akron in 2005. His first production was Widows by Ariel Dorfman in 1998 and his most current role was in New World Performance Lab's Don Quijote in 2019. Justin is excited to be back on stage after a five-year hiatus. He enjoys hiking, playing guitar, and spending time with his family. He recently became a grandfather when his granddaughter, Aven, was born.

SOPHIA HUYCK is thrilled to be in her first show outside of high school theatre! From helping develop the show to playing the Sprite-in-Training to making signs, Sophia couldn’t be any more happy to be working in this production. Previously she’s been in shows at Theodore Roosevelt High School, directed by Katie Beck. Like her character, she has learned a lot during this show, whether it’s about Akron or about theatre. Sophia enjoys the arts and is a songwriter and performer. She feels so blessed to have this opportunity!

ROSILYN JENTNER is a Creative Theatre Artist who grew up in this city, graduating from the University of Akron with a BA in Theatre Arts. She has studied theatre across the globe, and has attended two International Drama Therapy Conferences. She's been working with Akron’s only LGBTQIA+ theatre company, QuTheatr, since 2018 and is happy to now be co-leading with Tessa Gaffney. Always seeking new ways to learn and grow as an artist, she encourages people to promote positive energy and to smile more; it may help carry your spirits higher!

His journey is not only about pursuing a dream but also setting an example for his son—that greatness isn’t about where you start, but how far your passion can take you.

ROSCHELLE OGBUJI is a dynamic actor, writer, and performer whose work blends raw emotion, sharp wit, and spiritual depth. With a background in storytelling, theology, and performance, she brings truth to the stage through roles rooted in vulnerability, power, and transformation. Her original one-woman show, The Art of Being a Sacred Bitch, showcases her range—from heartbreak to holy rage to radical joy. Roschelle’s performances are deeply personal yet universally resonant, inviting audiences into spaces of reckoning and revelation. She is committed to work that heals, challenges, and liberates—one sacred truth at a time.
ROSCHELLE OGBUJI

RUBEN RYAN is a local actor and comedian. Since he was a child, he has performed on stages across Ohio, including Weathervane Playhouse, the Bang and the Clatter (R.I.P.) and Karamu House. Ruben has performed improv for half his life with groups such as Point Of No Return Improv, Just Go With It, Something Dada and the Imposters Society. He is also one of the founders of the Kent State Improv troupe. Ruben has performed stand-up both locally and at The Laugh Factory in Chicago. Ruben teaches improv at Imposters Theater in Cleveland and is a former teacher for the Center for Applied Drama and Autism. He is thrilled to be in this show.
